A big dog lover we have is Kari Orga. We welcomed Kari in 2010. She is a certified dog trainer through The Animal Behavior College and is currently working on getting her CPDT certification. You can also find her working with and learning 'from local dog trainer, Susan Marett. Kari loves taking her German Shorthaired Pointer, Otis, canoeing and she also participates in Theatre Marvelosa with OeDe. Kari and her love, Yan, had a beautiful boy, named Jiraya, in Sept, 2012.
Another face at Zen Dog is Shelley Kirby.
You will notice that she's "not from around here". In 2006, she made the great trip across the pond from England . She and her husband, Brett, have a spunky cat, Scooty Puff Jr, and a dog, appropriately called Stormageddon. In her spare time, Shelley is part of Chaotic Taoist Theatre and also loves reading, movies, and live music. She started at Pet Vet in 2011. She has also found her calling helping our wildlife rehabilitators nurse the babies. She is also actively working towards her ABC certification in dog training.
Our newest face at Zen Dog Daycare is Brandon Powell. Brandon started at the Pet Vet in 2012. He originated from Myrtle Beach, and moved to the Charleston area in 2004. He enjoys movies, and even runs a weekly movie club. he is hoping to adopt a fur baby of his own soon, but will pass the time happily getting to love on all the dogs in the day care.
